CHC is available for girls in 4th through 6th grades and 7th through 10th grade to learn about God and horses. Meetings take place at Legacy Farm, 4656 Lobdell Rd., Alexandria, Ohio. Each group allows a 7 session unit with a break in meetings from December through the middle of March. New sessions will begin in March 2024 for another 7 sessions. The cost for each session is only $10 and covers the curriculum costs. Girls who are new to the program will need to complete a Truth unit before starting the sessions. Each girl who completes some basic requirements earns a charm necklace for that unit and then can participate in the sessions. The cost for the Truth Unit is $20. Groups will be limited to 9 girls in each group and it is requested that girls commit to the meetings if they desire to attend. It is understood things happen that prohibit attendance, but please be aware that the group size is limited. Using curriculum from Kim Shanks (see her website at www.chlclub.org), girls learn to strengthen their faith and trust God while making new friends and riding horses in the process. For each unit girls complete, they will earn a charm for their necklace. There are two clubs available in each age group:
4th – 6th graders: One group will meet on the 2nd and 3rd Saturdays of the month from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm for 7 sessions. Sessions begin again for the spring of 2024 on March 16 and continue April 13 and 20, May 11 and 18 and June 15 and 22 (note that June’s meetings are the 3rd and 4th Saturdays). The other group meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday evenings from 6 pm to 8:30 pm. The first meeting is March 27, and continue on April 10 and 24, May 8 and 22, and June 12 and 26.
7th-10th graders: One group will meet on the 2nd and 3rd Saturdays of the month from 1 pm to 3:30 pm for 7 sessions. Sessions begin March 16 and continue April 13 and 20, May 112 and 18, and June 15 and 22 (note that June’s meetings are the 3rd and 4th Saturdays). The other group meetings on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday evenings from 6 pm to 8:30 pm. Those meetings are March 20 and con8tinue April 3 and 17, May 1 and 15, and June 5 and 19.

Our 10 year old daughter has been in Ms. Paula’s Girls Christian Horse Club for about a year now. Scout loves animals and is crazy about horses so she loves this club. In addition to riding, they learn all about horses and how to care properly for them. More importantly, Ms. Paula leads a Bible study with these young girls. Scout has read several books of the Bible this past year and has memorized quite a few verses. We are so grateful that Ms. Paula is investing in discipling our daughter.
